Trane rental Services formed a new partnership
Mar 26,2007
Trane Rental Services formed a new partnership with Alamo Crane Service in Selma to open a new storage facility in San Antonio.
The air-conditioning company opened the storage facility to house heating and cooling units that also can provide back-up power to hospitals and schools.
Trane will rent portable heating, ventilation and air-conditioning equipment to companies in Austin, San Antonio, Houston, Corpus Christi, the Rio Grande Valley and Laredo. Each of these markets will be supported by the new San Antonio stockyard.
Trane officials say this equipment is ideal for both emergency and planned outages. Because the equipment is diesel powered, it is able to provide back-up power. This may be important, particularly in light of the recent brownouts in San Antonio and throughout the state, company officials say.
"The need for temporary cooling is often an unplanned event," Trane’s District Manager Stuart Werner says. "Having a wide range of equipment strategically placed around the country is vital to serving our customers in what can be a stressful situation."
Trane will also market its rental equipment for planned company events, such as on-location television shows, tournaments and special engagements.
Trane is the air-conditioning systems and services business of American Standard Cos. Inc. (NYSE: ASD) of Piscataway, N.J.
